Upcoming Services

Sunday @ 11 AM

Everyone is invited to Lakeland Unitarian Universalist Fellowship's 2018 Annual Meeting at 11:00am on May 20, with a potluck afterward.

There will not be a normal Sunday service that day.

The Annual Meeting includes the induction of new members, the election of Board Officers and a Board Member known as an At-Large Trustee as well as presentation of the annual report from 2017-2018 and the passing of a budget for the 2018-2019 service year.

All Members of the congregation are eligible to serve on the Board. Becoming a Member is quite simple. It consists of signifying a commitment to LUUF and to upholding the Principles of Unitarian Universalism by signing our membership book.  While we encourage all members to make voluntary financial contributions, LUUF does not have a designated monetary contribution to become a member or retain membership.

LUUF's Board consists of seven members.  Four officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary) are elected for one year terms, two At-Large Trustees serve for two years each, and the Past President, the previous year's President, serves up to two years. Board members attend once monthly Board meetings which can be scheduled to fit the needs of the Board members or may possibly be done remotely. Otherwise, all activities are done on the Board member's individual schedule either with or without the assistance of other members of the Board or congregation.

Volunteering is a necessary component to keeping LUUF going. It does not have to be arduous or even make you leave your house. Anyone who can send e-mails, make phone calls or update a webpage can be of invaluable service as a Board Member or on the Publicity, Programing, Residential, Organic Garden, or other committees. Please think about volunteering even a small amount of your time.
